Who we Serve
iTEE Global (Internet Theological Education by Extension) serves institutions (churches, missions, schools) seeking to create capability and build capacity for the training of their own leaders by owning and controlling their own program. Here are a few examples:
- A denomination or group of churches wishing to provide their pastors and other leaders with Bible, ministry, and leadership training would be assisted by us in developing their own training capacities. Their training will ultimately be applied at the local church level.
- Schools such as a Christian Universities, Bible Colleges, or Seminaries are facing declining student enrollment due to economic realities and demographic trends. They decide that they wish to reach out to more mature Christian leaders and provide them with leadership education using an extension model.
- A third example is that of the mission organization with full-time, part-time and/or volunteer staff requiring leadership, Bible, or ministry training. Their team may be spread across their country and it is not practical for them to receive required training in a residential or traditional format.
- We serve a wide spectrum of learners. They may or may not have internet access. The majority of learners will only access their education in their national language. We estimate that ten percent of all students will know English well enough to study in the English language. Some learners will have a low level of education and may not qualify for enrollment into traditional educational programs. Other students may hold advanced degrees. Some students receive their training in face-to-face sessions, while other study online. Most will receive training in blended fashion. Some learners will prefer to receive a greater degree of their learning content through oral (audible) means, and others primarily through a the more traditional text approach.
