Theme:
- Our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is more important than our ministry for Him.
- Our relationships with one another are a source of strength that will allow us to withstand Satan’s clever attacks.
- Healthy and powerful relationships with our students become a chief motivation for our sacrifice and diligent work with them.
- Our relationships with our donors, churches, and friends, when guided by hearts filled with love for them and for the Lord Jesus Christ, will fuel the effectiveness of our ministry.
Speaker:
Pastor Mark Kemp
Mark Kemp is Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove in Copperas Cove, Texas. Since 1991, he has counted it a profound privilege to shepherd this congregation as together they seek to live for the glory of God and make the gospel known. Mark has a particular heart for encouraging pastors and missionaries. Over the years, he has participated in ministry efforts in Romania and India, helping train pastors and church leaders and strengthening local congregations. Under his leadership, First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove has also become a launching point for many who have gone on to serve in ministry and missions around the world.
Mark grew up in a pastor’s home. Watching his father faithfully serve the church gave him an early glimpse into both the challenges and the joys of pastoral ministry—experiences that quietly shaped his own calling to serve Christ and His people. While attending the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Mark met Annette, and the two married while still students, beginning a shared journey of serving the Lord together. Following college, Mark pursued theological training, earning degrees in biblical studies and pastoral ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Mark’s greatest passions in ministry are preaching God’s Word and caring for God’s people. He seeks to communicate Scripture clearly and practically so that people can grow in a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ—one that produces the fruit of joy, obedience, and service. Outside of ministry, Mark enjoys fishing, bicycling, traveling with Annette, and reading history, theology, and mystery novels.
Annette faithfully serves alongside Mark in ministry. In addition to her involvement in the church, she previously launched a crisis pregnancy center in Copperas Cove and currently serves as the Assistant Head of School at Providence Preparatory School. They have raised two daughters and now enjoy the blessing of three grandchildren.
Mark is grateful for the opportunity to encourage missionaries and looks forward to sharing God’s Word with the iTEE Global team.

2025 Conference Speaker
Dr. George W. Murray
George is a missionary at heart and a highly sought-after speaker. He and his wife, Annette, along with their four children, were engaged in pioneer evangelism and church planting for 13 years in the spiritually needy country of Italy. For the next 17 years, he directed two missionary organizations: Bible Christian Union (330 missionaries in 14 countries of Europe) and The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM, with 1,100 missionaries in 42 countries worldwide).
Following his leadership and experience in the field of missions, he assumed the leadership of Columbia International University (CIU) in Columbia, South Carolina, first as CIU’s President (2000 – 2007), and then as CIU’s Chancellor (2007-2017). Columbia International University specializes in training people for Great Commission service around the world. George has travelled and ministered across the United States of America and in 83 other countries.
He has been happily married to Annette since 1969, and their four children (all married) have blessed them with nine grandchildren (8 boys and 1 girl). George is a graduate of CIU (B.A., 1967; M.A., 1981) and Trinity International University (D.Miss, 1995). Annette is a graduate of CIU (B.A., 1969) and Biblical Theological Seminary (M.A. in Theology/Counselling, 1995). George loves good music (all genres), reading, hiking, fishing, and playing tennis.
